    According to Mark Ruehl, he recalls Grandpa Otto Roepke mentioning that one side of his family came from Stettin, Pommern, and another side from area of Danzig, Westpreußen.
    Mark: "It is my recollection that Grandpa talked about some family members coming from Stettin, but I don't recall him saying anything to qualify if they were from a surrounding community or not. I don't even recall what he said about who came from Stettin, but I have a vague recollection that his mother's ancesters may have come from Hannover.
