  Ben R. Jahn, 86, Sunrise Manor, died Tuesday in the nursing home after a brief illness. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in the Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel. The Rev. Philip Wagner of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Jahn was born Sept. 13, 1898, in Crawford County, Iowa. He married Lydia Emma Ullerich Feb. 11, 1920, at Charter Oak, Iowa. He farmed for many years and worked in a lumber yard at Ute. They came to Sioux City in the early 1950s. Mrs. Jahn died Jan. 9, 1969, at Sioux City. He was a maintenance man for Valley Park Apts., the Sioux Car ( Park and St. Joseph's Hospital, prior to his retirement. Mr. Jahn was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Survivors include two sisters in Denison, Iowa and two grand- children.
