These books document the history of Belgard from the middle of the 1700s. In terms of land records, these are some of the earliest I’ve seen that show owners dating back this far. Those familiar with the surviving church books from Belgard Stadt will be happy to see a continuation of names, possibly going one or even two generations back from what the records survived from the church.
