Two volumes of Mutterrolle exist for Grünewald. These list owners and residents in the village, and can be useful for discovering more about specific ancestors. As both duplicate church and civil records largely survived the war, this book is better suited for complementing information found within those registers.

This village was very near Gramenz in Kreis Neustettin and was spelled in earlier times as “Grünwald.” When researching this village, one should be careful to use both spellings to optimize the number of search results that will appear.

Help us make these records more accessible for researchers worldwide. If you can read old script, we would love your help to make the entries in these books searchable. Please consider donating your time, even if it's just for a few pages. (We also use Google Sheets so you can see where the last person left off and where the work needs to be continued!)
