The village of Soltin is just north of the larger Stadt and port city, Cammin. Soltin is on the coast of the Camminer Boden and Fritzower See. However, today, it is known as Żółcino.

The drive is well off the beaten path. The rustic road was only paved for the width of two tires individually. There were only a few buildings surrounded by fertile fields. It was the perfect place to watch the sun set and cast long shadows over the fields of grain.

Much to my surprise, a deer stole a peek out of the grasses to investigate our arrival. A stork’s nest also sits perched upon an electric pole.
