Gergen Dworsky was born about 1726, and was possibly the brother of Paul based on Taufpate records. He died on 07 Apr 1800 in Wendisch Karstnitz at the age of 74. He married Anna Dworsky on 25 Nov 1751 in Lupow and was living in Rambow. She died before 1760. He was then remarried to Maria Gustken on 26 Oct 1760 in Lupow while living in Wendisch Karstnitz. She was born about 1737 and died on 15 Jun 1791 in Wendisch Karstnitz (died as “Maria Dwursken”) at the age of 54 years old from Schwindsucht (tuberculosis). She was buried 19 Jun 1791.

Together, the couple had ten children known from this marriage:

  1. Anna Catharina Dworsky was born in Oct 1752 in Rambow and was baptized on 08 Oct 1752 in Lupow (Taufpate: Christ. Graf, Louisa Carolina von Kleist, Hedwig Seglers). She was also known as “Anna Maria” in 1790. She died of a stroke on 15 Mar 1827 in Wendisch Karstnitz (Verw. Jark. In Alte 74 Jahre. an der Folgen das Schlagfluß des brandigt) and was buried March 18th. (She left behind these children as inheritors: 1, Joh. Friedr. in Labehn. 2, Mart. Ludw. in W. Carstnitz. 3, Michael Carl in Dammen. 4, Marie Elis. verehel. Albrecht in W. Carstenitz) She married Paul Jarke on 24 Dec 1781 in Lupow, and their place of residence was listed as Rambow. He was born about 1746 and was known as a Bauer (farmer, peasant), an Unterthan (serf), and a Kossäte (cottager). He died on 24 Sep 1808 in Wendisch Karstnitz at the age of 62 years old (possibly listing him as a Dienstknecht).
    1. Hans Gergen Jarke was born in 1782 in Rambowand was baptized on 04 Apr 1782 in Lupow. He died on 29 Jun 1783 in Rambow (Einjähriges Kind, the date is hard to read).
    2. Maria Elisabeth Jarke was born in 1784 in Rambow and was baptized on 04 Feb 1784 in Lupow.
    3. Johann Fridrich Jarke was born on 16 May 1788 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 18 May 1788 in Lupow.
    4. Martin Ludwig Jarcke was born on 23 Mar 1790 in Wendisch was baptized on 28 Mar 1790 in Lupow. Here, his mother was listed as Anna Maria Dworsken.
    5. Christian Ernst Jarcke was born on 01 Dec 1791 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 03 Dec 1791 in Lupow. His mother was incorrectly listed as Anna Catharina Pogeln. He died on 15 Mar 1797 in Rambow, Stolp, Pommern (5 Jahre, 3 Monate).
    6. Michael Carl Jarcke was born on 15 Feb 1796 in Wendisch Karstnitz in house #9 and was baptized on 21 Feb 1796 in Lupow. Two of his godparents can be confirmed as relatives: Michael Musch and David Dwurske. His father was incorrectly listed as Michael Jarcke.
  2. Johann George Dwurske was born in 1755 in Rambow and was baptized on 06 Apr 1755 in Lupow. Also known in earlier years as Hans Gergen, he worked as a Bauer and a Cossath. He lived (House #2). He died on 02 Nov 1841 in Zemmin. He married Catharina Farsbutter (also spelled Varschbotter, Wassbotten, Warsbotten, Wossbotten, Farsbottern, and Fassbuttern). Her surname should be a derivation of the Scandinavian name, “Vassbotten.” More specifically, it is likely to be a locality type of surname from Sweden. She was possibly born in Bornzin in 1753 to the Evangelische Kirche Groß Dübsow, and baptized as Catharina Varschbotter. Although, there was another with this name who was a mother in Mützenow in 1782, it is far more probable that the Catharina from Bornzin is the relation, as the Dworsky family would later move in and out of Groß Dübsow’s parish records. There is no denying that this Johann George was married to Catharina Farsbutter. However, the birth date cannot be substantiated to prove the connection completely. The problem arises that his death entry recorded his age as 92 year, 6 months 18 days, which would place his birth 15 Apr 1749, though no record could be found of a birth in this timeframe within the Lupow parish. It also states that he left behind his daughter. More confusing is that the Hans Gergen born in 1752 was also born in April. While the year fits more closely and it would place his birth before his April 6th baptism, several of the later godparent entries would list names belonging to this side (Leisemann and Burow). However, in earlier years, he would list the “Zillsken” family and David Dworsky as godparents. Other possible relations include the name “Crosseck,” one of whose relations had a child with the Martin Dworsky who is thought to be Paul Dworsky’s son. Through this tangled mess, one could assume that all the Dworskys were likely to be closely related in this district.

Three people with the root of the names “Johann Georg” were mentioned in the Lupow church book at that time and fit the timeline. They were born in 1752, 1755, and 1762. It is assumed that the one born in 1762 died shortly after birth, thus leaving the debate between 1752 and 1755. To only complicate matters further, Jürgen died in 1795, but leaving no other information behind. That creates more difficulty with Johann George’s father, as his name was also Gergen. Without property records, this hypothesis cannot be fully verified. Children from Johann George’s line, however, should be correct.

    Their children were:

    1. Maria Elisabeth Dworsky was born in Mar 1781 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 25 Mar 1781 in Lupow. She married Johann Fridrich Musch, who was employed as a Schulhalter and Schullehrer (a school master and a school teacher). He was born on 17 Feb 1778 in Rumbske baptized 20 Feb 1778 in Glowitz, and died on 04 Jan 1837 in Zemmin with the notation “25 Jahre im Amte,” or 25 years in the district. One of his relations around the time of his birth, Martin Musch, was also a Schulmeister in Vixow. Both Zemmin and Vixow are in the most northeastern corner of Kreis Stolp. To the north of Zemmin lay a moor, likely preserved for hunting and shooting. To reach Zemmin from Wendisch Karstnitz, it was approximately a 27 kilometer walk (or about a 17 miles). Both of these places belonged to the Glowitz parish, an old Lutheran community of Kashubians. According to G. Sellke from the Ostpommersche Heimat in 1936:

The language spoken by the native inhabitants of Glowitz during that time (and in the surrounding villages as well), was Kashubian [Kaschubische, a West Slavic language subgroup]. Because the noble families of the Hinterpommern duchy had accepted the Lutheran faith, its people gradually became isolated from their Kashubian “cousins” in the neighboring Pomerelian duchy, who had retained their Catholic faith and a degree of semi-autonomy within the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth since 1569.  Over the next three centuries, their language evolved into a Kashubian dialect, and they became known as Slovincians or Lebakaschubians.  Glowitz was considered to be the chief Kirchdorf of the Lebakaschuben.  It is noteworthy that the concurrent period of Germanization, or assimilation, following creation of the Kingdom of Prussia in 1701, was not completed in Glowitz until after the German Empire had been (re)established in 1871.

Communion attendance figures for the Glowitz congregation, as recorded in the Glowitz Kirchenbücher, give clear evidence of the declining use of the Kashubian language and the acceptance of German: in 1713 only 559 German-speakers attended communion services compared to 3,152 Kashubes.  Over a century later, in 1829, it was 1,551 German-speakers and 3,284 Kashubes.  By 1850 the balance had shifted as there were 3,752 German and only 1,370 Kashubian-speaking communicants.  The last time that church services in Glowitz were conducted in the Kashubian language was in 1886.  The Slovincian dialect became extinct in the early 20th century.

Maria Elisabeth Dworsky and Johann Fridrich Musch were married on September 9, 1803 in Lupow while having residence in Wendisch Karstnitz. He was a Junggeselle and she was a Jungfrau, although the birth of their daughter two months later suggests otherwise. Together, had the following children, though there should have been more between 1803 and 1812:

      1. Charlotta Louisa Musch was born on 15 Nov 1803 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 20 Nov 1803 in Lupow with Christian Musch and Anna Christina Kallfass, possible relatives, as godparents.

      5. Caroline Friederike Musch was born on 09 Jan 1812 in Zemmin. There are two conflicting sets of information concerning her fate. One lists her as dead in Rügenwalde, Pommern, though this data might be wrong. This same set of information also points to marrying Michael Papenfuss and having a son named Johann in 1837. However, I am of the opinion that she might have died 01 Feb 1836 after being married to Christian Ludwig Jacob Mede about 1836 in Stojentin. If this was the case, she would have had a son named Johann Carl Mede in 1835 and who also died in 1836. Her husband was born on 09 Mar 1807 in Stojentin and died on 13 Aug 1838 in Stojentin.
      6. Johann George Musch was born on 03 Mar 1814 in Zemmin.
      7. Henriette Wilhelmine Musch was born on 02 Nov 1816 in Zemmin.
      8. Carl Ludwig Musch was born on 18 Mar 1819 in Zemmin.
      9. August Wilhelm Musch was born on 03 Jan 1821 in Zemmin.
      10. Ernst Heinrich Musch was born on 24 May 1823 in Zemmin.
    2. Anna Christina Dworsky was born in Jun 1783 in Rambow and was baptized on 23 Jun 1783 in Lupow. She died from Rubella on 10 Sep 1790 in Rambow.
    3. Catharina Dwursken was born in 1785 in Rambow and was baptized on 04 Sep 1785 in Lupow. Catharina Elisabeth Dworsken was one of her godparents. She died from Rubella on 11 Sep 1790 in Rambow and was buried on 15 Sep 1790.
    4. Jacob Ludwig Dworske was born on 03 Aug 1787 in Rambow and was baptized in Aug 1787 in Lupow with Jacob and Martin Dworschke as godparents. I am of the belief the pastor must have written the wrong date, as this child was listed as born July 3, though all records after are in August.
    5. Eva Charlotta Dwurske was born on 30 Jan 1789 in Rambow and was baptized on 01 Feb 1789 in Lupow. Her godparents were Eva Gottliebe von Kleist, Dorothea Maria Zillsken, and a Croseck. She died on 02 Sep 1790 in Rambow at the age of 1 year, 7 months, and 12 days.
    6. Martin Heinrich Dwurske was born on 17 Nov 1791 in Rambow and was baptized on 20 Sep 1791 in Lupow. His godparents were Herr Hauptmann Frantz Heinrich v. Kleist, Martin Fridrich Zollweg, and Anna Catharina Schwartzen. He died from epilepsy on 16 May 1792 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was buried on 20 May 1792.
    7. Barbara Louisa Dwurske was born on 14 Sep 1793 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 22 Sep 1793 in Lupow. David Dwurske and Christlieb Dwurske were given as godparents. She died on 04 Dec 1797 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
    8. Johann Fridrich Dwurske was born on 29 Jun 1795 in Wendisch Karstnitz in house #2 and was baptized on 05 Jul 1795 in Lupow. Maria Elisabeth Dwursken was listed as a godparent. Johann died on 28 Oct 1796 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
    9. Johann George Dwurske was born on 08 Jun 1798 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 17 Jun 1798 in Lupow. Godparents in this entry show Leisemann, Burow, and Anna Charlotte Dwursken (which is inconsistent with known members of the family. This begs the question of if the entry should have listed Anna Christine or Sophia Charlotte). He died from epilepsy on 01 May 1799 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
  3. Michael Dworsky was born in 1758 in Rambow and was baptized on 03 Sep 1758 in Lupow. He died on 17 Apr 1773 in Wendisch Karstnitz. Considering it does not make logical sense why there were two children named Michael, it was deduced that this Michael must have died in 1773. The entry’s handwriting makes the date difficult to read; it could have been 12th, justified by the following death of Dorothea Gustken on the 19th. Michael would have been living in Wendisch Karstnitz, and he might have been in close proximity with a Gustken cousin.Gergen Dworsky and Maria Gustken had the following children:
  4. Anna Gottliebe Dworsken was born in 1761 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 02 Sep 1761 in Lupow. She died on 21 Jun 1830 in Poganitz at the age of 71 (an der Schwindfluß) and was buried on 25 Jun 1830. She married Jacob Zab on 18 Nov 1784 in Lupow while living in Wendisch Karstnitz. He was born about 1735 (Zaph, Zapp). His birth date was calculated from his death, which occurred on 01 Apr 1837 in Sochow. He was buried on 05 Apr 1837. His surname should be related to the Middle High German name Zapf, which is a metonymic name for a taverner or possibly a drunk. Translated from German, the name translates to “spigot.”
    1. Catharina Elisabeth Zuphen was born in May 1785 in Rambow and was baptized on 29 May 1785 in Lupow. There were several other children not currently listed below who could have possibly belonged to her. (By searching the Globalindex for “Sup%” and “Cath,” other entries appear in Groß Garde for Sorchow, and Groß Dübsow for Groß and Klein Krien in 1812, 1814, and 1819.) She should have died before 1837. No profession was ever entered into the church book for her, though one must wonder about her line of work. As far as research shows, none of her children were ever born in wedlock or of the same man.
      1. Carl Fridrich Zupen was born on 24 Mar 1809 in Rambow and was baptized 31 Mar 1809 in Lupow. The father was not known, and the birth was recorded as being illegitimate. For his birth, the surname was spelled “Supen.” He died on 24 Apr 1809 in Rambow, Stolp, Pommern at the age of 1 month and 3 days.
      2. Johann Ferdinandt Zupp was illegitimately born on 30 Oct 1816 in Rambow and was baptized on 03 Nov 1816 in Lupow. His father was mentioned as Jürgen Garb. However, the entry prior to this one states the same person’s name and was likely to be a mistranscription. He was confirmed in Sep 1830 in Lupow, recorded in the book as belonging to Poganitz. The father was not known.
      3. Johanne Louise Charlotte Zuppen was illegitimately born on 22 Mar 1823 in Rambow and was baptized on 28 Mar 1823 in Lupow.
      4. Carl Ludwig Zupp was born out of wedlock on 13 Jun 1825 in Rambow to house #7 and was baptized on 19 Jun 1825 in Lupow. His entry states that the father should be Gottlieb Emmert.
    2. Christlieb Zupp was born on 12 Feb 1788 in Rambow and was baptized on 17 Feb 1788 in Lupow. She died on 13 Mar 1788 in Rambow and was buried on 16 Mar 1788.
    3. Jacob Fridrich Zab was born on 04 May 1789 in Rambow and was baptized on 07 May 1789 in Lupow. He died on 28 Oct 1799 in Rambow, Stolp, Pommern.
    4. Martin Ludwig Zab was born on 31 Jan 1793 in Rambow to house #7 and was baptized on 03 Feb 1793 in Lupow. He possibly had several children, including one illegitimate son named Michael. Further research on his genealogy was not conducted.
    5. Anna Charlotte Zab was born on 19 Nov 1796 in Rambow and was baptized on 26 Nov 1796 in Lupow. She died from smallpox (an dem Pocken) on 25 Oct 1799 in Rambow in house #13.
    6. Louise Charlotte Zab was born on 01 Aug 1800 in Rambow and was baptized on 08 Jan 1826 in Lupow. She was mentioned in her birth record as Anna Louise). It’s possible that she married a Gülzow, according to Jacob Zapp’s death certificate.
      1. Caroline Wilhelmine Zapp was illegitimately born on 01 Jan 1826 in Rambow and was baptized on 08 Jan 1826 in Lupow. The father should have been Christian Dersee.
    7. Maria Elisabeth Dworsken was born in 1763 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 10 Apr 1763 in Lupow. She died on 11 Dec 1815 in Wendisch Karstnitz. “The widow lost her life in an accident close to Lupow when the horses in front of a sleigh bolted and her neck was crushed in a moment by the drawbar and her whole skull was broken.” She left behind her two living children.

(Die Wittwe Maria Elisab. Redsem geb. She was married to Jacob Redsemm in 1794 in Lupow, recorded as living in Wendisch Karstnitz and was a Jungfrau. The pastor forgot to write the date, but it was possibly after October (Nr. 1794/13). He was born about 1762 and died on 08 Apr 1813 in Wendisch Karstnitz from typhus (Nervenfieber). He was mentioned in Anna Maria Dwursken’s inheritance when she died—most certainly a relative of his wife’s. Marie Elisabeth was also recorded as having a child with George Lützcke, a coachman (Kutscher). If this was true, she would have been a maid (“ein Magd”) as specified by Anna Louisa Lützcke‘s illegitimate birth on 21 Mar 1789 in Wendisch Karstnitz. (This child would be baptized on 29 Mar 1789 in Lupow and die on 28 Dec 1789 in Wendisch Karstnitz. The child was buried shortly after on 03 Jan 1790.) This is difficult to believe, however, as Maria was written as a virgin at the time of her marriage. Loosely, however, it could have just meant that she was unmarried. Whether or not this was an error on the part of the pastor is unknown, but there were two Maria Elisabeth Dworskens on the baptismal entry.

      1. Johanna Charlotta Fridrica Redsemm was born on 01 Apr 1795 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 03 Apr 1795 in Lupow. Her Taufpate were: Fraulein Fridrica v. Kleist, Anna Christina Gustken, and Johann George Dwurske. She was the only daughter to survive, yet she was mentioned as the 18-year old Louisa in her mother’s death entry. She was a maid (Magd), denoting a poorer standing. One illegitimate child was found in the Lupow church book for her with the father given as the Knecht, Martin Albrecht:
        1. Johann Ludwig Redsem was born on 05 Apr 1819 in Wendisch Karstnitz in house #13 and was baptized on 12 Apr 1819 in Lupow. He was confirmed on 05 Apr 1833 in Lupow while living in Velzow.
      2. Catharina Louisa Redsemm was born on 29 Jan 1797 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was was baptized on 05 Mar 1797 in Lupow. These people were listed as her godparents: Catharina Elisabeth Dwursken, Catharin Farsbutter, and Christian Barand. She died on 26 Oct 1797 in Wendisch Karstnitz at the age of 9 months old. Curiously, in her mother’s death entry, it appears that she is still living based upon the age of 18 years old and the name Louisa, although this seems to be disproved by her death entry in 1797 and her sister’s illegitimate son in 1819.
      3. Barbara Florentina Redsemm was born on 27 Oct 1798 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 04 Nov 1797 in Lupow. She died on 30 Mar 1801 in Wendisch Karstnitz. (Though the church book lists her as “Maria Bar. Ernestine Redsem, 2J. 8M.” at the time of death.)
      4. Dorothea Carolina Redsemm was born on 08 Nov 1802 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 12 Nov 1802 in Lupow. She died on 24 Jan 1803 in Wendisch Karstnitzat the age of 6 weeks and 5 days old.
      5. Carl Fridrich Redsemm was born on 14 May 1805 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 19 May 1805 in Lupow. Two of his godparents were Carl Ludwig Dwurske and Anna Christina Kalfass, surely relatives of his. He was alive for his mother’s funeral in 1815 and was confirmed in 1819.
    8. Catharina Louisa Dworsken was born in 1765 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 24 Jan 1765 in Lupow. She was an Unterthan, a serf. She married the Schulmeister, Christian Fridrich Leisemann, on 13 Nov 1788 in Lupow while living in Wendisch Karstnitz as an unmarried woman (Jungfrau Braut). They possibly moved to Klein Glüschen.
      1. Christian Ludwig Leisemann was born on 03 Jul 1788 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 03 Aug 1788 in Lupow. He was of illegitimate birth, but apparently took his father’s name.
      2. Eva Christina Charlotta Leisemann was born on 15 Dec 1790 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 19 Dec 1790 in Lupow with the following godparents: Eva Ernestina v. Kleist, Christina Wegnern, and Johann Gustke.
      3. Johann David Leisemann was born on 30 Dec 1792 in Wendisch Karstnitz in house #2 and was baptized on 31 Dec 1792 in Lupow. He died on 04 Jan 1793 in Wendisch Karstnitz in house #3 and was buried on 08 Jan 1793.
      4. – Leisemann was a stillborn daughter who did not survive the birth on 29 Jan 1796 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
      5. Johann Fridrich Leisemann was born on 14 Sep 1798 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 23 Sep 1798 in Lupow. He died on 10 Oct 1798 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
      6. – Leisemann was a second stillborn daughter who did not survive on 24 Jun 1799 in Wendisch Karstnitz.
      7. Dorothea Louisa Leisemann was born on 26 Dec 1800 in Wendisch Karstnitz and died immediately after the birth. (Gleich nach der Geburt gestorben.) The pastor must have been there on the same day, likely because of the previous two children lost in childbirth, who administered an emergency baptism on the same day before the child died, likely at home rather than in the church.
      8. Dorothea Louisa Elisabeth Leisemann was born on 28 Dec 1801 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 01 Jan 1802 in Lupow. She would continue with the family’s misfortune and die on 08 Feb 1802 in Wendisch Karstnitz at the age of only 6 weeks old.
    9. Christian Fridrich Dworsken was born in 1767 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 08 Feb 1767 in Lupow. He died from a fall from a tree at the age of 24 years old on 23 Aug 1791 in Wendisch Karstnitz. (Starb durch eine Fall vom Baum. Er wirt 24 Jahre alt.) He was buried on 26 Aug 1791.
    10. Johann Jacob Dworsken was born in Jun 1771 in Wendisch Karstnitz and was baptized on 29 Jun 1771 in Lupow. He died of tuberculosis (Schwindsucht) on 22 Mar 1836 in Rambow with the age of 64 years old give—perhaps mistakenly. He left behind his widow in his inheritance (Erbe), Catharina Nofke. He was frequently known as Johann, lived in house #2 in 1799 but would be found in house #9 five years later, and was an Eigenthümer and a Bauer. He married Anna Catharina Nofzen on 16 Oct 1798 in Lupow while living in Wendisch Karstnitz. Both were unmarried prior. She was born around 1769 and her last name was also written as: Nosken, Nofke, and Nofken. She died on 11 Dec 1837 in Rambow of Nerbenfieber at the age of 68 years old. She was buried on 14 Dec 1837.Johann Jacob Dworsken and Anna Catharina Nofzen had the following children:
      1. Hanna Charlotte Dawurske was born about 1795 (she was the Bauer Johann Dawurske’s only daughter). The marriage lists her as 30 years old at the time of marriage, verwittwet Schroeder, This is confirmed by her earlier marriage to Christian Friedrich Schröder, which states that she was born Dawurske. Another listing for Karoline Friederike states that her name was Schröder, though her death record says her maiden name was Schwarz. No birth record could be located in Lupow for her. However, Johanna Charlotta Fridrica Redsemm was born in this year as was a child of a peculiarly named Paul Druschke named Anna Charlotta. It is possible that her father was living outside of the parish, but it still does not explain why she would have been born three years before her parents’ marriage. Her connection to this Johann Jacob has not been completely verified; however, her marriages to both of her husbands have been substantiated by written documents. She died on 24 Jul 1837 in Lupow of Nervenfieber, or typhus.Christian Friedrich Schröder, son of Peter Schröder, on 12 Nov 1819 in Lupow. Here, her father was Johann Dawurske, a Bauer from Rambow. Christian Friedrich Schröder was born around 1790, his father’s third legitimate son, listing his father in Bewersdorf. He must have died before the end of 1825.

Her first child was thought to be the illegitimate child of Paeth, but further research proved this was another child of a different Charlotte Schröder. She mothered the following children:

        1. Johann Ferdinand Schröder was born 13 Oct 1820 in Rambow to house #9 and was baptized on 22 Oct 1820 in Lupow. He married Henriette Hingst. These are the children known of that union:
          1. Ferdinand Friedrich Schröder was born on 13 Jul 1865 in Groß Krien and was baptized on 16 Jul 1865 in Groß Dübsow.
          2. Hermann Wilhelm Schröder was born on 14 Jan 1868 in Groß Krien and was baptized on 19 Jan 1868 in Groß Dübsow.
          3. Carl August Schröder was born on 21 Feb 1871 in Groß Krien was baptized on 27 Feb 1871 in Groß Dübsow. He died on 24 Mar 1871.
          4. August Heinrich Schröder was born on 23 Apr 1872 in Groß Krien and was baptized on 28 Apr 1872 in Groß Dübsow. He died on 09 Jul 1873.From her second marriage to Johann George Dawurske (as it was written in 1825), four children were known:
        2. August Friedrich Dawurske was born on 26 Mar 1826 in Rambow to house #10 and was baptized 02 Apr 1826 in Lupow. He was later confirmed (living in Rambow, belonging to the Parish Lupow, Synod Colziglow).Throughout his life, his name would also be spelled “Devoske,” “Dowoske,” and “Dewoske. He was employed as a Steinhauer, or a Stonecutter and would find work as a Chaussee Arbeiter. He would marry Johanne Ernestine Charlotte Naß, supposedly in Lauenburg. Her name was also subject to revision and was also written as “Naßke” and “Natz.”She was the daughter of Michael Nass, a Krüger in Jannewitz, and Caroline Horn, born 21 Nov 1830 in Jannewitz in Kreis Schlawe. She would die on 30 Aug 1898 in Basedow, Demmin, Pommern (current day Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany) at the age of 67 years, 9 months, and 9 days. Her husband would precede her in death on 31 Jan 1886 in Pumlow in Kreis Belgard while working on the Chausseebau. His death record incorrectly lists birthday as April 19th.August Friedrich Dawurske and Johanne Ernestine Charlotte Naß had the following children:). He married Johanne Ernestine Charlotte Naß, daughter of, in Lauenburg. She was born on 21 Nov 1830 in Jannewitz, Schlawe, Pommern ((Perhaps in Kreis Schlawe, though it could have been Groß Jannewitz in Lauenburg)). She died on 30 Aug 1898 in Basedow, Demmin, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany ((Also listed as Naßke in her death record) 67 Jahre, 9 Monate, 9 Tage).Together, these children are known from their union. However, more were likely to exist. It was difficult to track down these entries due to August’s movement with his work:

He married Johanna Maria Droginskÿ, daughter of Matthias Droginskÿ—also a Chauseearbeiter who was dead at the time of the marriage—and Maria Jordan, on 17 Nov 1895 in Crussow, Uckermark, Brandenburg, Germany (Crussow in Erdhütte, Kreis Angermünde). Her maiden name was also spelled “Droschinke.” She was born on 19 Mar 1879 in Lübtow in Erdhütte, Kreis Pyritz. (This is puzzling as Lübtow and Erdhütte are from separate areas.)
