These are the two volumes of land registers for the village of Kamissow in Kreis Belgard. The first volume of the Grundbuch contains numerous entries whereas the second volume only has a few pages with any content. The remaining pages were blank and were not photographed.

With the Belgard church book surviving, one might question the relevance of this Grundbuch. These types of documents can be helpful for filling in the gaps for children born outside of the date range of the church book, born in another parish, or identifying fathers of people who have entries in the church book, but were born before 1794.

At a quick glance, some names that were found are: Krüger, Münchow, Müller, Behling, Drews, Damitz, Priebe, Barz, Eichholz, Loeck, and Lemke.

This collection has not been transcribed yet.

Help us make these records more accessible for researchers worldwide. If you can read old script, we would love your help to make the entries in these books searchable. Please consider donating your time, even if it's just for a few pages. (We also use Google Sheets so you can see where the last person left off and where the work needs to be continued!)
