The land records for Peterfitz in Kreis Kolberg-Körlin contain entries of property owners for the village. Each entry in the first volume typically begins with mortgages and continues to listing the residents and some of their relatives.

Other early records for this village are scarce, and church records did not survive the war. Some surnames that occur in the first volume are: Leichtfuss, Wedig, Braun, Gomoll, Schumacher, Reichert, Griep, Ziemer, Voeltz, Gerth, Knack, Dummer, Gramenz, Maske, Hahn, Neumann, Labesius, Natzmer, Zimmermann, Firzlaff, Zillmer, Pumplun, Nicolaus, Henke, and Schinderling.

Some properties appear to belong to or reference the village of Klaptow.

Help us make these records more accessible for researchers worldwide. If you can read old script, we would love your help to make the entries in these books searchable. Please consider donating your time, even if it's just for a few pages. (We also use Google Sheets so you can see where the last person left off and where the work needs to be continued!)
